Community Data Scorecard
The Community Data Scorecard, an annual product of the Data Review Subcommittee, collects and analyzes a wide range of Genesee County data metrics to inform the development process for the Greater Flint Health Coalition’s Strategic Business Plan as well as a joint Community Health Needs Assessment. Data compiled from federal, state, and local resources, including voluntary sharing of data from insurance, providers, and government representatives, allows the Greater Flint Health Coalition to monitor data trends and impacts on community health and the healthcare delivery system in Genesee County. Components of the Community Data Scorecard focus on:
- Genesee County Demographics
- Population Health Outcomes
- Individual Behavioral Factors
- Social and Economic Factors
- Physical Environment
- Health Care (including access, utilization, capacity and economic impact measures)
- Vulnerable Populations
Partner organizations include:
- Genesee County’s three hospitals – Ascension Genesys Hospital, Hurley Medical Center, and McLaren Flint
- Health insurers – Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network, HAP (Health Alliance Plan), McLaren Health Plan, Meridian Health Plan of Michigan, and Molina Healthcare of Michigan
- Safety net providers – Genesee Community Health Center, Hamilton Community Health Network, and Mott Children’s Health Center
- Others – Genesee County Health Department, Genesee County Medical Society, and Genesee Health System
