Mission
We at the Greater Flint Health Coalition envision a healthy Genesee County community practicing healthy lifestyles with access to the best and most cost-effective health and medical care, assuring the conditions of optimal health for all people. The mission of the Greater Flint Health Coalition is to improve the health status of our residents by improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of the healthcare system in our community.
GFHC Overview
The Greater Flint Health Coalition guides an ecosystem of community programs that lift up health and well-being. If you’ve heard of Mid-Michigan CHAP, Know More, Commit to Fit, or Flint Healthcare Employment Opportunities, you’ve heard of a few of GFHC’s most-utilized offerings.
Our nonprofit, formally incorporated in 1996, directly connects residents in Genesee County and beyond with critical initiatives that provide safety nets and elevate quality of life. We offer connections to medical care, mental health resources, career training, and other forms of support. GFHC staff extend friendly, clear assistance to get individuals to the right program, right away, whether the need is targeted or broad.
