GFHC Board of Directors passes a resolution in opposition to implementing work requirements for Medicaid beneficiaries in Michigan as proposed in Senate Bill 0897

On May 21, 2018 the GFHC Board of Directors passed a resolution in opposition to implementing work requirements for Medicaid beneficiaries in Michigan as proposed in Senate Bill 0897. This was resolution was passed because work requirements will reduce access to health care services, increase barriers to care especially among the poor and vulnerable, and negatively impact support for positive health outcomes of Michigan residents.
